Meet Our Team

Dr. Kelly Brister

Dr. Kelly Brister graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University. She is a member of various local, state and national veterinary associations. She has been at the Cave Springs hospital location for over 20 years.  Although Dr Brister loves everything from the puppy and kitten visits all the way through the many challenges of our pets’ older years, she has a special interest in dermatology and endocrinology. 

Dr. Brister is married and lives in St. Charles County with her two sons:   one is currently pursuing a nursing degree in Kansas, and the other is a history education student and football player at Lindenwood University.  Her family pets include two Terriers, Mo and Chief, and two cats, Sarge and Panther. Her time off is spent with church activities, walking her dogs, gardening, reading and following Lindenwood football.

Dr. Cynthia Rizzolo

Dr. Cynthia Rizzolo graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She received a B.S. Degree in Biology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2006 and studied Equestrian Science at William Woods University.

Dr. Rizzolo is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. Her special interests include cardiology, nutrition, and radiology.  

In her free time Cindy loves to spend as much time outdoors as she can. This usually means taking her lovable pit bull mix, Toby, swimming and hiking. She also has a cat, Daisy who helps keep Toby in line!

Dr. Alexandria Donoho

Dr. Alexandria Donoho graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, after completing her clinical rotations at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia, Missouri.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and the Missouri Academy of Veterinary Practice.  Dr Donoho currently has a special interest in internal medicine.

Dr Donoho resides in St. Peters with her husband, one cat and one dog.  In her leisure time, she likes to read and hike and and is an avid fan of Chicago Cubs baseball.

Dr. Stan Carter

Dr. Stan Carter received his  B.S. in Agriculture and DVM from the University of MO,  along with an MBA from Maryville University.  Dr. Carter is the Owner/Medical Director of Cave Springs Pet Hospital, a position he has also held at All Creatures Animal Hospital in O'Fallon and Carter Pet Hospital in Lake Saint Louis.

Dr. Carter and his wife Beth were married a few weeks before he started Veterinary school and she began Medical school in Columbia, more than 30 years ago!

For fun and recreation, Stan likes to golf, sail, travel and show dogs. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Lottie, has recently joined the Carter household.  Her job is to keep everyone's tail wagging!
